Commissioning of 660kW of solar panels, including 330kW at ground level using 2-axis tracking systems.

THE CHALLENGE

This project was especially challenging given the high-performance modules selected by the university. It is rather frequent in the industry that module technology is more advanced than technologies of the other system components. The challenge was to specify and to find an optimizer that could support LG 390W bi-facial modules. Installation also had to take place without affecting university operations.

RESULT

The solar power generation system was successfully commissioned, and the Université de Sherbrooke can now use it for its research projects.
